Stoney Lake, Ontario Cottage homes are available for rent
There are two cottage homes. One is located on the mainland, and one is located on an
island approximately two hundred yards out from the mainland cottage home.
Our Stoney Lake, Ontario Cottage Homes in the Karwartha Lakes region of Southeastern
Ontario, are situated approximately two hours northeast of Toronto. Lakefield is the
closest village, with convenient shopping and amenities, and the City of Peterborough
is 18 km distant and is a center of entertainment and local cultural venues.
The mainland homes has three bedrooms. There is ample room for six people only.
Our house is all electric. A Television is available with DVD and VCR player, and is
on Satellite service. A telephone land line is also available. Please see contact page for

The mainland home has 100 feet of lake front frontage.
There is dockage and a wonderful view of Stoney lake, and the islands and cottages that
populate the lake. A Paddle Boat and 14 foot fiberglass canoe are available for your use. There are
a number of marinas close by with motor boat rentals. Neighbors are near, and are very warm and
friendly. The summer season is the time of many cottagers staying at the lake. The off seasons in
spring and fall are times of quiet serenity in the natural setting.
The island cottage home is convenient, peaceful, 2/3 acre private island
(includes private parking). Good roads to cottage; easy to find.
Includes 14' aluminum motorboat (9.9 HP Johnson motor), 17' red fibreglass canoe, paddleboat,
lounge chairs, Muskoka chairs, picnic table, benches, minnow catcher, fishing net, etc.
Clean, spacious, fully furnished 5 bedroom cottage with large kitchen, living room,
family room, two bathrooms (a 4-pc. plus 2-pc.) and a walk-out deck. Beds consist of two doubles,
one queen and two singles. Also included are an electric stove, microwave oven,
two refrigerators (one for our things), telephone, CD/cassette player and propane BBQ.
The family room, with a pleasant view of the lake, includes a relaxed sitting area,
luncheon/games table and modern airtight woodstove.
Waterslide on boathouse dock, good swimming, good fishing, basketball hoop,
horseshoes, tetherball, croquet, sandbox, playhouse, hammock, swings, games.
(Two golf courses nearby.)
1 dock on mainland, 3 on island. Diving ok, but only from boathouse dock.
Campfires ok, but only on rocky point.
Stoney Lake (prox. 20 miles long; prox. 1100 islands; very scenic).

Quiet sunsets and the lonely call of the loons take you away
from the world of everyday to a place of natural tranquility.
A nice boat ride on a sunny day might take you along past The Church on the
Rock, and through the twisty channel called Hell's Gate , and onto the beautiful vistas
of Upper Stoney Lake.
